I can’t deny the fact that I LOVE talent shows, especially the ones that are viewed on TV networks. Nowadays, I don’t watch TV more often, I opt to go to YouTube for my dose of entertainment. One of the things that I frequently watch on YouTube are clips from the Got Talent franchise (America’s Got Talent, Asia’s Got Talent, Britain’s Got Talent, Pilipinas Got Talent, etc.) and I constantly enjoy watching them.
What actually makes me love these shows? Well, there are a few things that come to my mind, and to be formal, I would like to present it in a form of a list. So, let’s begin!

1.) Expect the Unexpected!
One thing about these shows is that they don’t fail to surprise me. From people auditioning with talents that are out-of-this-world up to the certain Golden Buzzers that the judges make (It’ll make sense if you watch it), the Got Talent franchise always has that plot twist at their episodes, and because of that, it is worth watching every single time.

2.) The LOL’s never stop
Aside from being surprising, these shows also bring smiles (and uncontrollable laughs) to my face. The witty judges with their jokes and banters with the contestants are always top notch funny, and there are also the contestants who make me laugh on purpose (stand-up comedians) and those who make me laugh unintentionally (bad auditions). With these shows, the ‘laughing out loud’ never ceases.

3.) Inspirations are everywhere
The Got Talent franchise is filled with people with big dreams and aspirations. Watching those people audition and succeed is always heartwarming and inspiring for me. You will not just laugh, but you will also cry (or at least get teary-eyed) while watching these Got Talent shows. Different people, different talents, different struggles, different dreams, but only one goal, winning the entire competition.

4.) Reality at its finest
The Got Talent franchise falls under the ‘reality show’ category because of the variety of contestants that enter the competition. Out of all the reality shows that are available on TV, talent shows are the most entertaining for me (the Amazing Race franchise comes in a close second). Although reality shows on TV get criticized for being ‘not real’ at all, my fanatic side always gets the best of me and I always hope that these shows (Got Talent) are an exception.

As you can see, I am a huge fan of the Got Talent franchise and everything that is related to talent shows. I hope everyone gets to watch more talent shows and support their favorite contestants as the years go by. Who knows, you might see me in Got Talent one day. After all, as America’s Got Talent season 11 winner Grace VanderWaal once said in her audition, “Miracles can happen.”

DeleteI also like watching talent shows, but sometimes it is frustrating because the singer always wins!! I have no hate for singers but sometimes, the judges are biased towards singers :)
